Oh, Colleen + Jon. Where do we even begin? From the first moment we hopped on a call with Colleen, it was an instant connection. We discovered so many life parallels during our chat— we had both went to college in Orlando, spent an extended period of time traveling in Thailand, met our S/O’s on dating apps….it was clear we were supposed to know each other.

When we started the planning and had the opportunity to meet in real life, it felt like sitting down with old friends. Their ease and grace throughout the planning was nothing short of amazing and it was so apparent they were madly in love with each other. Their senses of humor were also on point (which we can appreciate).

Colorado has a way of being a bit temperamental with it’s weather in the Fall. On the day of their rehearsal, the beautiful River Bend was covered in a layer of snow. But 24 hours later, it had completely transformed into the most perfect Fall day you could ask for. We still smile thinking back to how much fun Colleen + her ladies were having in the glamping tent. Throughout the entire day, you could hear them laughing over champagne (and maybe the occasional shot of tequila), supporting each other and truly enjoying every moment they had together.

Colleen + Jon really wanted to make sure the focus was on the most important part of the day— the ceremony. The lovely Jen of Small Circle Ceremonies had all of us in tears with an incredibly emotional and beautifully spoken ceremony (and don’t get us started with C+J’s own vows— sheesh. Cue the water works). Surrounded by 40 of their closest friends and family, Colleen + Jon entered the next chapter of their life together.

From their matching Converse shoes to their heartfelt “first moment” together where they opted not to see each other but hold hands behind a tree, their day was magic. The seriously awesome duo, Allie + Marcus, of Coldiron Photography captured this day in a way that conveyed every ounce of happiness, love, and fun.
